New song “TEMPLARS” out April 25th Pre-save it now! The wait is over! We are happy to announce that we are releasing our new single “Templars” on Friday, April 25. Our song will be available on all major music streaming services, so be among the first to listen by pre-saving it today! Pre-save TEMPLARS > ABOUT "TEMPLARS" We’ve wanted to write music about the Knights Templar for a long time now, but the topic didn’t fit into our World War 1-themed era. Having decided it was time to turn the page and explore something different, we knew the moment had come to make this happen! Our new single “Templars” tells the tale of the rise and fall of the Templar Order, a brotherhood of warrior-monks founded in 1119 after the First Crusade, dedicated to protecting pilgrims and sacred Christian sites in the Holy Land. In 1307, King Philip IV of France betrayed them, driven by greed. He seized their wealth and ordered the arrest and execution of many, including their Grand Master – the supreme commander of the holy order. We like to think this song captures both their intentions and their tragic end. We are also excited to reveal that in true Sabaton style, we’ll be releasing an accompanying music video for “Templars” on the same day. It'll be an epic, cinematic experience you won't want to miss.
