Armagelion

Heavy metal

There a handful of rock bands that can pull off a costume persona. GHOST, KISS, GLORYHAMMER, ALICE COOPER come to mind. Few can combine both musical excellence and the theatrics. Often times one or the other falls short or drifts into a comic vein.  ARMAGELION is one o the rare acts that can successfully do both. Combine a larger than life persona with an incredibly passionate and melodic sound. That is what you have here.

ARMAGELION is the new face of theatrical shock metal or even Heavy Metal Theater. The goal here is to create worlds on stage. To view music and the visual medium as a driving force of creation. With this band this union  works majestically. The music is a hard hitting synergy of melody and power.

The true genius lies in the live show. Here our characters come to life.  The show is a must see. Catch this band live and you will be hooked. Get the cd and spread the word. ARMAGELION is risen and he will take over the metal world.

Brothers Of Metal Unleash Emblas Saga

Brothers of Metal are set to release EMBLAS SAGA upon an unsuspecting world. This band of metal warriors have pulled out all the stops on this epic viking metal romp. They will pillage their way through your speakers and into your very soul. Something is in the waters of Falun, Sweden.
A superior made disc that features all types of metal and proves that Brothers Of Metal are a force to be reckoned with.
Look for "One" and "Njord" this is a powerhouse metal battering ram. Set the calendar for the January 24th release on AFM records.

Therefore, anticipation and expectations are equally high - and following up a hit debut like “Prophecy Of Ragnarök” for sure is not an easy task. Though, BROTHERS OF METAL prevail in this battle and their masterfully crafted new weapon “Emblas Saga” will pave them the way to a lot more future victories. The songs are even more creative, interesting and exciting than before. Symphonic pieces have enriched the band’s sound and the overall it’s still just as catchy and hymn-like. Best example is the stomping first single “Njord”, which comes in shape of a music video too. A little less heavy but offering earcandy at its
best is “One”, which will also be accompanied by a video and makes all three vocalists (Joakim Lindbäck Eriksson, Ylva Eriksson and Mats Nilsson) shine. The band once again takes the listener to the realm of Northern Mythology and Viking Sagas. On this trip mystical entities such as Hel, Freya, as well as Thor and his magical hammer, Mjölner cross the way. For the “Emblas Saga” cover artwork, the band was once again able to secure the services of Peter Sallai (Amon Amarth, Sabaton).

Fresh off triumphant festival gigs at Sweden Rock festival and Germany’s Rockharz & Rock Am Stück festivals, the buzz is stronger than ever - not only for new material but also live concerts. And again, the band is heeding the call, announcing their
first tour - a headlining tour right away - which will kick off almost exactly with release of “Emblas Saga” on January 9th in Hamburg, Germany. BROTHERS OF METAL will be joined by their labelmates, Italian folk power metallers Elvenking, on this leg.

from the press release:
About Cobra Cult:
Formed in late 2015, Cobra Cult from Stockholm, Sweden delivers their rock n ́rollish metalpunk sound like no one else. Sounding like the perfect blend of Motörhead, L7 and The Misfits, Cobra Cult have made themselves quite a reputation as a great live band with intense shows.

The first two single teaser, ‘Die! / Forever Faster’ was released in 2016. Cobra Cult followed up with their 4-track EP, ‘The Sunlight Tapes’ in 2017 as their first collaboration with legendary producer Tomas Skogsberg at Sunlight Studio.

As a result of that release, people started to take notice of the band and the EP opened the opportunity for the band to perform at the Bremer Metal Festival in Germany.

With the release of the debut album ‘Cobra Cult’ in late 2018, the band achieved the next step in their growing career with great album and live reviews and a coveted gig at Sweden Rock Festival 2019 and their first UK tour.

In 2019 the band signed to Sweden's Kingart Music Management

Cobra Cult album Review

Cobra Cult
This hard driving band is the real deal. True to their fans and true to themselves. They create uncompromising metal music as it should be. But there is more to this band than mere metal musicians creating the same old same old, no,this band elevates itself above the fray by performing and creating tremendously catchy music.

This album is loaded with genuine power and passion. This is one disc you must put in your collection. They do not disappoint!
Having met and interviewed the band at this years Sweden Rock Festival, I was surprised by their integrity and honesty. Down to earth people. They are having a lot of fun and were genuinely excited to see their merch alongside larger bands like AMON AMARTH and others. But on stage this is a power house juggernaut of frighteningly great hooks and riffs. They can hold their own alongside any other band.

They rate themselves as a rock and roll metal punk band. True their songs encapsulate many of those styles but they bring it all together seamlessly. During our interview they proclaimed their love for playing live and indeed their performance on the Sweden Rock NEMIS stage was incredible. The energy and the passion was there.

We see great things happening for this band. They have that rock be honest aggressive stance towards their music. This should play out well on both the local and international stage.
Album: Cobra Cult

Personal fave song:
In The Zone Again

Sweden Rock 2019 Day 2

Sweden rock 2019 day 2 is now wrapped up culminating in a historic final hydrogen bomb attack by the mighty SLAYER! Just a fiery set by this American Thrash iconic band. What a way to say farewell.

Thursdays ultimate metal fest also saw burning hot performances by BLAZE BAYLEY, COBRA CULT, BLACKBERRY SMOKE and more. Into the middle of this musical hurricane strode the boys from AMON AMARTH.

They conquered the fire rimmed stage like the metal vikings they are and just overran us with power viking death! KROKUS and ARCH ENEMY also waged a sonic war with the crowd.

It was an incredible sight to see the crowd surging towards the TENACIUOS D stage and scream in approval at the onstage metal assault by JACK BLACK.

DEF LEPPARD continued to bring its hallmark and well crafted hard rocking ballads to the forefront and played as the sun began to set.
Meanwhile in the tents, SCARLET

 and SINS IN VAIN
kept the temps high as they whipped the tent crowds into frenzy. Ending the fest with SLAYER was pure genius and the crowd was left obliviated. Just another day at SWEDEN ROCK but hold on there is more to come.....
